Ingrédient

1 pound breakfast sausage flavored with sage 
3 cups smashed potatoes drained and pressed 
1/4 cup melted butter 
12 ounces cheddar cheese, grated 
1/2 cup chopped onion 
1 (16 ounces) small curd cottage cheese 
6 jumbo eggs 



Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Lightly grease square pan 9x13 inches. Sausage Casserole  

 

Place the sausage in a large deep skillet. Cook over medium-high heat until evenly brown. Drain, crumble and reserve * Sausage Casserole

In the prepared baking dish, combine the grated potatoes and butter. Line the bottom and sides of the baking dish with the mixture. In a bowl, mix the sausage, cheddar cheese, onions, cheese and eggs. Pour over potato mixture. 

 

Bake 1 hour in the preheated, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the pan comes out clean oven. Cool 5 minutes before serving.
