easy chocolate cake recipes

    Ingrédients
    1 + 1/2 cup (170 g ) all-purpose flour
    3 tablespoons cocoa powder, sugar soup ( solubilized / dark )
    2 teaspoons baking powder
    1 cup ( 220 g ) sugar
    2 teaspoons vanilla extract
    3/4 cup (1.8 dl ) milk
    3/4 cup (170 g ) butter, melted
    2 eggs


    Ingredients for frosting

    1 stick (1/ 2 cup) + 3 tablespoons ( 160 g) butter, softened
    Sugar 3 cups ( 7.2 dl ) powdered or icing sugar
    1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    Vanilla extract 1 1/ 2 tsp
    4-5 tablespoons warm milk

    method

    Preheat the oven (gas mark 4 or 180 ° C ) 350 ° F
    Grease a 9 inch (23 cm) loaf pan .
    Combine the flour, cocoa powder , baking powder , sugar and vanilla in a bowl.
    Melt the butter over low heat and add dry ingredients . Add milk and eggs.
    Mix everything until smooth , either by hand or with an electric mixer at slow speed.
    Transfer to bake tin and bake at 350 degrees until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, about 35-45 minutes.
    After cooling , cut the chocolate cake through the middle to make two layers (easier if the chocolate cake was in the fridge ) chocolate cake.

    glazed

    Beat the softened butter with powdered sugar in a bowl. Add cocoa , vanilla and 4 tablespoons lukewarm milk and mix until smooth . Do not overmix . If necessary, add a little more milk .
    Use a 1/3 of ice between the two layers , a third at the top, and the other around the chocolate cake .
    This cake should be at room temperature before serving .

    variations

    You can cut the top of the cake to make flat surface before adding the glaze .
    You can divide the dough in half and transfer to two boxes of chocolate cakes. The cooking time would be about 15 to 20 minutes
    To make a top cake , you can bake two cakes instead of solving one of two layers
    Use flavorless vegetable oil for cake instead of melted butter. If this is the case , add 1/4 ts Salt
    Instead of vanilla extract , you can use an equivalent amount of freeze-dried coffee (suggested by Carol , October 2008 )
    You can use ½ cup fresh instead of milk or water to get the taste of mocha ( suggested by Noreen , January 2009 )
