Strawberry Cream Cheese French Toast

 

Ingrédients

12 slices white bread house style , cut into 1-inch cubes , divided
2 packages (8 oz ) Strawberry cream cheese , cold , cut into 1-inch cubes
1 1/ 2 cups sliced ​​fresh strawberries ( Strawberry ) Cream Cheese .
Two cups of half and half
12 large eggs
1/3 cup pure maple syrup
sauce:
1 cup white sugar
1 cup water
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 cup sliced ​​fresh strawberries Cream 
1 tablespoon butter


Directions

Generously Grease a 9x13 inch dish .

Place half of bread cubes in the prepared baking dish . Divide the cubes in the layer of cream cheese bread cube ; sprinkle 1 1/ 2 cups sliced ​​strawberries Cream Cheese on top of cream cheese layer . Layer the remaining bread cubes strawberry layer .

Pour half and half in blender; Pulse for a few seconds . Mix the eggs in half and half until fully incorporated. Add maple syrup and mix until smooth . Pour evenly over bread mixture . Cover the baking dish with foil and refrigerate 8 hours or overnight.

 

Remove the baking dish from the refrigerator 45 minutes before cooking.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F ( 175 degrees C).

Bake covered pan in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Remove foil and continue baking until the French toast is puffed and golden, about 30 minutes.

Stir in sugar , water and cornstarch in a small saucepan. Cook, stirring occasionally , over medium heat until mixture thickens, about 5 minutes. Mix 1 cup sliced ​​strawberries in sugar mixture ; cook and stir until strawberries are tender , about 10 minutes. Add butter and stir until sauce is melted butter .
